The Old 'Boiler' Mystery |
| |
| Have you
ever walked along Whitsand Bay towards Polhawn and wondered
how the old boiler laying on the beach got there? It
belonged to the Trawler Chancellor which run aground in
heavy fog in 1934 as a result at the time there where fish
strewn all over the beach at 'Treninnow' now commonly known
as 'Ninney' She was eventually salvaged for scrap iron, with
some of her timber was used by the 'locals' on nearby
chalets. |
